First Impression: Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi

*Warning* Shounen-ai anime!

Is it possible to forget the face of your first love even if ten years have passed?

In the case of Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi, 10 years have lapsed and Onodera has completely forgotten his first love even though his first love still looks hot as ever (personal opinion ^^). According to himself, his first love wasn't a sweet one and so he did his best to purge it out of his memory.

Personally, I quite enjoyed the first 2 episodes. So far, it has all the ingredients needed to make this series into a successful romance comedy. I can only hope that it will truly turn out that way.

What's Hot?
- I'm so glad that Onodera is not the typical weak and girly uke. Though he does look weak and a little girly, his personality is not. I'm also happy that the story is not set in their high school days as Onodera seemed to be the typical weak girly type then.
- As for the seme (Takano), he's the typical cool type. I like how he's sometimes unreasonable but yet kind and gentle.
- Lots of ikemen in the editorial department. I hope they'll get more air time.

What's Not?
- Though I do read quite a bit of shonen ai and yaoi manga, I tend to avoid those that are shoujo-ish (pink and flowers in the background). So far, Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi has quite a bit of 'pink'. Though I don't quite like it, the story is interesting enough to make up for that.
